His Kind Of Cowgirl {Book Review}

Title: HIS KIND OF COWGIRL
Author: Karen Rock
Series: Heartwarming

Book Description:

Would he still love herif he knew?
Tanner Hayes smashed Claire's life to pieces when he chose the rodeo over her ten years ago. And now he'd wrecked her truck! Fantastic. She'd lost her husband, the family ranch was mired in debt, her father was recuperating from a stroke and her son was being bullied. Why not throw a reckless bull rider into the mix?

All she'd wanted was a safe, stable life. But with Tanner back in townand staying on her ranchnothing was safe, or under control. Not the feelings she'd fought so hard to forget. Not the son she was determined to protect. And certainly not her long-held secret

My Review:

    When I first saw this book in the Harlequin newsletter a few months back. I knew right than I wanted to read it. And looked for anyway to be able to review it.

     I have to say at first I wasn't a big fan of Claire's. Claire has found herself back at her family ranch after losing her husband and about to lose the ranch. Through most of the book she just comes off as angry angry angry. She's angry at the world, she's angry at her father and she's especially angry at Tanner. She seems to want to blame everything on everybody else. Look I got it she's upset she lost her husband, and now finds herself a single mother, and dealing with her father having a stroke and about to lose his ranch. I had a hard time connecting with her character. But towards the end she did redeem herself.

    I loved Tanner off the bat. He finds himself back home to try and help Claire's father save his ranch, after an injury from bull riding. He was sweet, caring and protective.

     Even with all of Claire's flaws I did really enjoy this book. I also loved Claire's father, and Claire and Tanners son Jonathan. They brought lightness and laughter to the book.

   I'm giving this book 4 out of 5 star's!!!
