Marek {Book Review}

Title: Marek
Series: Knights Corruption MC Series
Author: S. Nelson
Genre: Contemporary Romance

Book Description:

With the weight of the club on his shoulders, Cole Marek, president of the Knights Corruption MC, had only one choice:

Turn their livelihood legit.

Everything was falling into place until one unexpected, fateful night. With an attack on his fellow brothers, Marek had no choice but to retaliate against their sworn enemy.

The Savage Reapers.

Swarming their compound, he comes face-to-face with the infamous daughter of his rival club, making an astonishing decision which would change his life forever.

She was the enemy.

She was the prize.

She was a game changer.

Sully Brooks led a desolate life, her entire existence dictated first by her father, then by the man who’d claimed her when she was only fourteen. Years of abuse shaped her into the woman she became, but she longed for something more.

Craving an existence where she was free to live a life of simplicity, she wanted release from the harsh realities she’d known since childhood.

Will her prayers be answered when the enemy strikes?

My Review:

As soon as I read the description of this book I knew I wanted to read it. I thought it sounded really good. I dove into it as soon I got it and couldn't put it down.

I have to say I liked Marek. He's possessive, protective and caring. I liked watching his walls come down and falling in love. Though there were a few times he drove me nuts. But I understood where he was coming from.

I really liked Sully. I really felt for her also and everything she had been through. She's only known one way of life and has been told a bunch of lies. She has been through a ton of abuse by the two men in her life she should be able to trust the most. So it was understandable it was hard for her to trust and open up to Marek after basically being kidnapped by him.

This book was dark and gritty. I will also say that it ended with a little bit of a cliffhanger. And I kind of hesitate to say cliffhanger. I will say that you can tell there is more to come and the troubles for Marek and Sully aren't over yet. I will say there was one point in this book that almost had me stop reading it. Something happens that I'm not ok with, but I continued on. But other than that part I thought this book was enjoyable.

I'm giving this book 4 Stars out of 5 and can't wait for more!!!!!
