The Preacher's Daughter {Book Review}

Title: The Preacher’s Daughter
Series: Rough Riders MC
Author: Shelly Morgan
Genre: Romance, Suspense, MC

Blurb:

Angelica Hock is the preacher’s daughter, and that’s all she’s ever been known as.
Her life has already been planned out for her, right down to what college she’ll attend and what her major will be. Which is inconsequential, since she’s expected to marry a man of her parents’ choosing, bear his children, and be a stay-at-home mother.
A trip to the wrong side of town puts her in the middle of a living nightmare when she’s saved by a dark knight. He makes her feel things she never dreamed possible. But reality slaps her in the face when she learns he’s no different from anyone else.
Taking matters into her own hands, she buys a one-way ticket to Reno—new town, new friends, new life. She even decides to change her name.
Torq is a member of the Rough Riders and not a man to mess with.
Having a drink at Bottoms Up—a strip club his MC owns—he sees Angel dance for the first time. Only she turns out to be the girl he saved from being sold as a sex slave; she’s the preacher’s kid. But she’s not like he remembered, which only makes him want her more.
When someone comes into town with a grudge, Angel will be put in the line of fire, because everyone knows the best way to hurt your enemy is to hurt the person they care about the most.
He’s already saved her once, but he’d gladly go to hell and back to do it again.
*** WARNING: Book does end with a cliffhanger. ***

My Review:

This is the start to a new series and I have been excited for this book. Ever since I heard about it and couldn't wait for it to hit my kindle. Now that being said this book ends in a Cliffhanger which I wasn't expecting. So its a very quick and easy read. But if you don't like Cliffhanger books, than you may want to wait till the next one comes out!!!!!

Angelica or Angel as she goes by now is a Preachers daughter. Who is tired of living under her parents rules and thumbs. She's tired of being the good girl and doing what's expected of her. She has dreams of being a dancer. After a night of almost getting in trouble and being saved by Torq. She decides to run off and live her life how she wants. I thought that Angelica or Angel was likable, but found her to be a bit naïve at times though I'm sure it was to be expected with her age.

I did really like Torq. He's the SOA of the Rough Riders MC, he's a no nonsense not afraid to get his hands dirty kind of guy. But at the same time sweet, caring, protective, and smexy all rolled into one.

This book really starts us off with getting to know them. Getting to know what their all about. Getting to know a little bit of their backgrounds. This book is told in deul POV's which I have no problem with whatsoever. Now here's the thing I kind of felt this book moved slowly at times and became a little repetitive, like Angelica not liking the whole being known just as the Preachers daughter. But at the same times its brought up several times in each chapter. And for this being an MC book I never really felt a connection with the club. I mean they were there, but they almost didn't feel like a club. I wasn't feeling the brotherhood connection. I'm hoping that's better in the next book.

Look all around I did really enjoy this book and can't wait for the second part.

I'm giving this book 4 Stars out of 5!!!!!
