My Review:

This is the first book  have read by author Laura Dunaway and honestly this book blew me away. It had everything I loved in a book and it kept me on the edge of my  seat till the very end. I was pulled into this emotional roller coaster of a read from the moment I read the first sentence. It has a story line filled with suspense, danger, passion and love.

Penny is a beautiful, sweet, naive girl totally unaware of the danger awaiting her. One night out to celebrate a friends birthday turns out to be the night that will forever alter her life. Kidnapped and finding herself at the mercy of a dangerous cartel, her guardian is the only thing keeping her alive. Knowing a life so different then her present reality, Penny must draw her inner strength and fight to survive. Her evolution will have you rejoicing and praising her bravery.

Tag is the polar opposite of this innocent girl. He is hardened and has seen, done so many things in his life that would leave most disillusioned with life and fate. Working his way to the top of the cartel, Tag has a plan and a mission he is adamant nothing will wavier his focus.

This book has a lot of twists and turns, ups and downs, go along on the journey of these two individuals as one fights to stay alive and the other fights to protect the girl who has come to mean more than he could of even imagined. As months go by they become closer and the moments of intimacy between them will have you blushing. Seeing them grow as a unit is heart wrenching and heart pounding. Laura does an exceptional job at keeping us guessing and wondering who the good guy is, who isn't but most importantly what will happen to the man and woman who meet under horrific circumstances but develop a love for the ages.

 I definitely give this book a 4.5 out of 5 stars and would recommend this book.
