All I can really come up with right now is Wow......Just Wow..... I wasn't quite sure what I was getting into reading this book going into it. I knew though that this book was going to be very different from what I'm used to with this author. I knew this book was going to be a different kind of read. What I didn't realize what I was getting was such an emotional rollercoaster read. What I wasn't prepared for was this book to hit so close to home for me. What I wasn't prepared for was having to actually put this book down several times and taking a break from it. I lost the woman who was my "mama" even though she didn't give birth to me, but basically raised me to a very similar cancer.
What can I say about Callie. She was such a strong character. She once again reminded me of my mama, with her strength.
I adored Bruno in this book. Even though he's sort of a mystery at first. I loved how he was the rock that Callie needed. I also loved his family and how he was with them.
What else can I say. I mean I think this is the first time in a long time I have had trouble writing a review. As I said above this book was very realistic to me and hit very close to home. I laughed, I cried, I even had to stop reading at times. But I will definitely say it was a definite must read.
I'm giving this book 4.5 stars out of 5!!!!!!
