One Timer {Book Review}

Title: One Timer
Series: Nashville Assassins Series #13
Author: Toni Aleo
Genre: Sports/Hockey Romance

Book Description:

You’ve known Harper Allen and Jakob Titov since you met them in Taking Shots. You know their story already, right? Ha! You only think you do. In One-Timer, they’ll tell it for themselves.

Harper has been hurt so many times, and she has no interest in anything more than a one-time thing, but Jakob Titov has other ideas.

He is looking for his forever. He has his sights set on a girl who is so good at blocking his attempts, she could be a star goalie in the NHL. Jakob is persistent, though, and he knows what he wants: Harper—forever. together, he knows they’ll make one hell of a team.

The last twenty years have been even better than they could have dreamed. But when their daughter comes home, informing them she’s giving up everything for a boy, they know it’s past time to tell the truth about the shutout they scored all those years ago to get where they are.

It wasn’t easy. But sometimes, that one-time thing leads to a fairy-tale kind of ending.

My Review:

So after years and years of seeing Harper and Jakob making appearences in the other Assassins novels we finally get their story. I have to say that its about gosh darn time. I've alway's kind of wondered about their story and thought we would never get it. But I'm so happy that Mrs. Aleo finally got around to it.

Harper is Elli's crazy best friend and assoicate of Elli's photography business. If you remeber back to Elli and Shea's story is when Harper meet Jakob, and she wasn't looking for anything serious. But they found each other and fell in love.

Jakob was a man who knew what he wanted from the start. When we first meet him he was looking to find "The One" and settle down and start a family. But he had his work cut out for him when he meet Harper.

I loved that this story started with Harper and Jakob's kids and than went back to Harper and Jabok's story. Though I do have to admit at the beginning with their daughter she kind of drove me nuts. But as I mentioned above I loved getting to know Harper and Jakob's story.

I'm giving this book 4 Stars out of 5!!!
