The Princess Ballot {Book Review}

Title: The Princess Ballot
Series: Royals of Arbon Academy Book 1
Authors: Jaymin Eve & Tate James
Genre: Dark College Romance

Book Description:

You have been chosen. Those four words change Violet Spencer’s whole life, when against staggering odds, she's selected in the "princess ballot."

Arbon Academy is affectionately known as the school for Royals. Only the rich, powerful, or heir to a throne gain entry ... except for the one scholarship student accepted every five years. It's a worldwide lottery, and one that Violet entered without giving it any serious thought.

But the media got it wrong and Arbon Academy is much more than a simple college for future leaders.

It’s a dark world of politics, intrigue, and dangerous guys who will stop at nothing to get their own way. Despite her best efforts at remaining off the radar, Violet finds herself a pawn between two of the most powerful monarchies in the world.

Prince Rafe of the Switzerlands and Prince Alex of the Australasias are bitter enemies both on the soccer field and in the political arena. Monarchies rule the world now, and every waking breath is a competition for the princes.

  Control the ball.
Control the world.
  Control Violet.

Whether it's through love or hate, someone will ultimately win.

*This is book one in a dark college romance. It includes a-hole princes, nasty princesses, and one chick who will take none of their sh!t, all the while doing her best to make it out alive. HEA guaranteed. Eventually. 17+.

My Review:

So first I want to say that this is not the first time I have read anything from these authors. Second of all I'm going to try and make this review as Spoiler free as possible. Third of all Oh.... My... Gosh I really shouldn't have read this book right now (Not Saying Its Bad) but we have to wait till June to read the next book and honestly I don't think I can wait that long for the next one.

I will agree with some of the other reviews on here that this book is a bit cliche. Poor girl who has No Parents and gets choosen to attend an exclusive school, blah blah blah... Why do these books always have to characters that have lost both parents or one parent? You've got your typical mean bad kids, but do you really know who's on who's side? Though these characters are a bit older as they are supposed to be in college. There's some kind of secret underground fighting society, blah blah blah....

I have to say that Violet was a bit different than other characters that play these characters in these kind of books. She wasn't particullary weak, she actually seems to have a back bone. Violet also seems to have some secrets that we haven't delved into yet.

Gosh than the guy's theres Alex and Rafe and as the description in the book say's they seem to be enemies. Ahhhh Rafe, he seems to be the rude bad boy jack ar$e prince of the school, but is he really who he seems he is? Or is he just pretending to be rude to Violet to protect her? And than there's Alex.... Oh Alex, your typical blonde next door neighbor type, except that he's a royal prince. But is he who he really seems? Is the sweet nice guy, really the bad guy?

I have to say that I did really enjoy this book. I really enjoyed the characters and some of the secondary character's. When I first heard about this series I couldn't wait for it to come out and I had orginally thought that this series was supposed to be a reverse harem. But now reading this first book I don't think it is, though I wouldn't mind if it turned that way. But anyways I hope June comes faster than it is so we can get the next book.

I'm giving this book 4 Stars out of 5 and can't wait for the next one!!!!
