Beautifully Brutal {Book Review}

Title: Beautifully Brutal
Series: Cavalieri Della Morte
Author: Dani Rene

Genre:  Romantic Suspense

Book Description

In a world ravaged with violence, I still think about the beauty who was taken from me. I’ve turned rabid in her absence. The dormant beast she had tamed is ravenous, feeding on brutality and bloodshed.

I focus on the kill, until Arthur confesses his trump card, shattering every hope I had of reclaiming her.

Focused on the job at hand, I step into the lion’s den, only to find nothing is as it seems.

My beast hungers to be satiated.

And my beauty is the only one who can feed it.

A dark treacherous journey where happily ever after may be just out of reach.

My Review:

Beautifully Brutal is the first book in the Cavalieri Della Morte multiple author series. I have to say that this seems to be a theme now. Several different authors writing a series together. Now I have to no issue with that, usually it brings a new to me author and I love reading new to me authors. But I wasn't sure if I was going to read this series at first or not. And honestly the covers are what pulled me in and made me realize that this series was going to be something different.

Ahhhh Lucas Knight, of course the hero of this story would have a last name like Knight (LOL). Now the question is, is he a Knight in shiny amour or the Dark Knight? I think I'm going to go with the Dark Knight in this story. Lucas is a man that is one of the top soliders in the Tabella Della Morte. After taking off from his home as a teenager, he happened to litterally run into Arthur Calthrope who is the leader of the Cavalieri Della Morte. Arthur took him in and basically raised him the rest of his teenager years and when he became eighteen years old initiated him into the Cavalieri, and gave him his first weapon. But falling for the wrong girl is putting Lucas's life on the line and making him question everything.

Giuliana Calthrope is the daughter of Arthur Calthrope, and the leader of the Cavalieri Della Morte. She was a young girl who fell in love with her father's right hand man. After getting caught daddy dearest sends her off to a convent to keep her "safe". But now as a young woman she still hasn't forgotten about her love for Lucas and is trying to find a way back to him.

I have to say that I thought this book was an excellent start to this series. It had every thing I love about a book, it was a bit dark, a few twists, and smexiness. I will say there was a part where I just kind of skimmed through. But other than that I thought this was a good start to the series.

I'm giving this book 4.5 Stars out of 5!!!
