Cooper (Wild Boys After Dark) {Book Review}

Title: Cooper (Wild Boys After Dark)

Author: Melissa Foster

Genre: Contemporary Romance

Book Description:

Four years ago at a film festival, Cici Fine met Cooper Wild, a man who turned her world upside down in the span of one deliciously perfect week. He was everything she'd ever dreamed of: sinfully sexy, intelligent, and incredibly loving. When the festival ended, they returned to their own hometowns with promises of forever. But Cooper disappeared, and Cici was left to raise the daughter he never knew about alone.

Cooper is finally thinking straight after years of being lost in grief from the tragedy that killed his father and left his mother blind. Now he's on a mission to find the woman he left behind-the only woman he's ever loved.

But Cici Fine is no longer a naive young girl. She's a savvy businesswoman with big responsibilities, on the cusp of a life-changing move. When fate brings the two together, they'll put the old adage to the test and find out if love really can conquer all.

My Review:

   This is the fourth and final book in the Wild Boys After Dark series. I have thoroughly enjoyed this series. Even though I was a little dissapointed with the last book. I was hoping this book would pick it back up. And this book had two of my favorite things second chance and secret kids.

      This book follows Cooper and CiCi and I really enjoyed them.

    I loved Cooper and have your heartstrings pull for him. After spending the perfect week with CiCi he finds himself dealing with the death of his father. After finding Cici again I loved his explanation to him.

   I really liked CiCi. She has been dealing with the hurt of Cooper up and leaving with no explanation and raising their daughter on her own.

   I really enjoyed this boo and the ending to this series. I have enjoyed the Wild Boys throughout this whole series.

    I give this book 4 out of 5 stars!!!!

Chiah Wilder is the author of Hawk’s Property, the first book in the Insurgents MC Series. It is a full length, standalone novel. Its release date is set for October 27, 2015. Always a lover of books, she began writing at a young age and continued through college with collections of short stories. Figuring she had to grow up and get a “real” job, her writing was placed on the back burner.  Her love of reading has always be center front in her life. Chiah’s love of bad boys both in and out of fiction has inspired her Insurgents series. She loves an alpha male whose softer side is brought out by a passionate, spirited woman. In fiction there are no rules or boundaries, and fantasies can go as far as the characters want to take them. Steamy, biker romances with rough, sexy bad boys are her guilty pleasure along with brownies, cheddar cheese, and movie marathons.  Returning to writing has been a dream come true. Writing and publishing Hawk’s Property has been an amazing journey, and she is happy to share the Insurgents family with her readers. She is busy writing her next book in the series. My Review:

This is the second book in the Insurgents Motorcycle Club series. It follows Sergeant-At-Arms Jax and Cherri. I really liked Jax in the first book the little bit we got to see him and couldn't wait to dive into his book.

I loved Jax. Even though he may not have always gone about getting Cherri the right way. I really believe he had the best intentions. I have to say that I think Jax may have become my new favorite in this series.

Oh Cherri, sweet Cherri. I really liked her and really felt for her. After being found by the Insurgents she finds herself now working for them and proving they can trust her. I felt for her and everything she has been through and could understand why she was doing what she was doing.

I really enjoyed this second book. I think we got to know the characters a little bit better. I felt like in this book we got to connect with Jax and Cherri a little bit more than we did with Hawk and Cara.

I'm giving this book 4 out of 5 stars and can't wait to read Chas's book.

Jackson (Wild Boys After Dark) {Book Review}

Title: Jackson (Wild Boys After Dark)

Author: Melissa Foster

Genre: Contemporary Romance

Book Description

   Everything's naughtier after dark...

Receiving a marriage proposal is supposed to make a women happy, but when Erica "Laney" Lane receives a beautiful marriage proposal from her perfect boyfriend on the eve of her annual camping trip with her best friend, Jackson Wild, the first thing she does is jump into bed with Jackson.

Jackson's all too happy to screw the annoyance out of Laney. After all, they've always screwed the hell out of each other when they were bored or angry, lonely, or too damn drunk to see straight.

But the marriage proposal changes everything, and their annual camping trip takes unexpected turns. Will a few nights in the wilderness set these friends with benefits free, or lead them on a path of destruction?

My Review:

  Hmmmm so I have been really enjoying the Wild Boys After Dark series. But I will be really honest here I had a hard time with Jackson's book.

    I have to say I love best friends growing up, become friends with benefits story lines. But at least to me Jackson and Laney's story just didn't click with me and was kinda of hard to believe.

   Plus the characters were doing a big no-no in my book. I'm sorry but cheating is cheating and I have no idea whose boyfriend would be ok with their girlfriend still having that kind of relationship with their bestfriend. While their supposed to be with them.

   I understand that Jackson and Laney had a different closer kind of relationship and that's what lead them to their arrangement. But I just couldn't connect with their characters.

    I'm only able to give this book 3.5 out of 5 stars!!!!!

In What Doesn’t Kill Us, we follow two teenagers in alternating point-of-views as they experience life-changing events. Drew is the son of a cop, raised in a small house on his dad’s average salary. His mother ran off when he was just a boy, due to a tragic accident that will forever define Drew’s life. Hailey is from a wealthy family and has a seemingly perfect life, until she learns of the secret her father has been keeping for years. Subsequently, her peaceful reality becomes morphed into something she never could have predicted. When Drew and Hailey meet, they quickly fall in love and ultimately discover that fate had meant for their lives to be perpetually entwined.
"This isn’t a bad story, but it’s not an entirely good story either. This is the story of us. Of me, really. And the guy who changed my life. But, not in the he-swept-me-off-my-feet-and-then-everything-was-Ok sense. No. He walked into my life like a thunderstorm would the sky; stirring things up and shaking me to my core. He was unsettling and uncontrolled. He wasn’t the safe bet. He was scary in an anything-could-happen kind of way. But just like a good thunderstorm, he was also wholly beautiful. His presence couldn’t be ignored. He awoke something within me that I didn’t even know was there. And after you’ve seen the sky in a thunderstorm’s aftermath, the everyday ordinary blue just looks a little too dull in comparison."

Heath (Wild Boys After Dark) {Book Review}

HEATH
Wild Boys After Dark #2
Melissa Foster

Book Description:

No last names. No strings. No ties.
Except of the silk variety.

Dr. Heath Wild and Allyson Jenner only wanted a simple tryst. But Heath couldn’t live with just one night, just one taste, of Ally—and Ally couldn’t escape the memory of his hands on her skin, the way he looked at her like she was his obsession, or his seduction, which had pushed her to the edge and had made her want to do things she never had before.

One night leads to one tantalizing phone call. Can one phone call lead to forever?

My Review:

     Oops I realized I forgot to post my second review for this second book today. Anyways as I just said Heath's book is the second book in the The Wild Boys After Dark series. I'm really liking the tone of these books from Mrs. Foster and the sexiness in them.

     I really liked Heath in this book and getting to know him better. Heath is particularly looking for a relationship. But after one night with Allyson finds himself wanting to be with her more.

   Alright I'm going to have to be honest here and say I had to change Allyson's name in my head. I have a sister who is Alison and we call her Ally, but so not the point. But was kind of weird thinking of the characters and calling her Ally. Again not the point but I'm sure you can figure out what I mean. Anyways Ally was just like Heath and looking for a one night stand but couldn't get enough of him.

     I'm really enjoying this new series from Mrs. Foster. I'm enjoying all the Wild Boys and the sexiness of this series. Although these books are shorter than the usual length of her stories. I don't find them lacking.

    I'm giving this one a 4 out of 5 stars also.

Logan (Wild Boys After Dark) {Book Review}

LOGAN
Wild Boys After Dark #1
Melissa Foster
Released November 15th

Book Description:

Stella “Stormy” Knight is an expert at hiding—her feelings, her past, and her identity. Sometimes all that hiding takes its toll, and she needs to come out from under that heavy suit of armor and cut loose—but it never takes her long to put it right back on and disappear without a trace.

Private Investigator Logan Wild is relentless in his pursuit to discover the truth for his clients. He works hard, plays even harder, and always walks away unscathed and untethered. Until he meets mysterious and sexy-as-hell Stormy, who leaves him craving more than a one-night stand.

Passion ignites, secrets are shared, and their deep connection is impossible to ignore. But in order to have a future, Logan must uncover Stormy’s dark past—and when he does, he’ll hold her fate in his hands.

My Review:

       The Wild Boys After Dark series is a new series from author Melissa Foster. If you've read any of my other reviews of books from Mrs. Foster than you should know I'm a fan of hers. You can always rely on what your going to get with her books. Mrs. Foster writes wonderful sweet contemporary romance usually.

     But I really liked to see a different side to her writing. The After Dark series is sexier than her usual stuff and what I usually tend to gravitate towards reading. Hey what can I say?

    I liked both Logan and Stella's characters. They both have demons sitting on there shoulders. But I liked the chemistry between them.

    I liked Logan. He was sweet, caring, sexy. You could tell what happened with his parents he carried the weight of that around on his shoulders. But he is definitely the kind of guy I would want on my side.

   I liked Stella. She's running from her crazy ex. But even though she's looking over her shoulder all the time. I found her to be strong, loyal and sweet.

I enjoyed reading this book and like the start to this series. I'm giving this book 4 out of 5 stars.
