The Billionaire Biker (The Billionaire's Club Story) {Book Review}

Disclaimer: I received a copy of this book from Netgalley for my review. The opinions in this post are 100% of my own. They may differ from others.

Title: The Billionaire Biker (A Billionaire's Club Story)

Author: Jackie Ashenden

Genre: Romance

Book Description:

The Billionaire’s Club: a fabulously sexy contemporary series about some of the world’s wealthiest, most powerful men and the women they claim…and keep.

Wild and reckless, and more at ease with his biker gang than his business partners, Sean Morrow has always longed for Abigail Prescott, whose life he ruined when an innocent friendship turned into a night of red-hot passion back when they were in high school. Now that his brother, Jax, has decided to hire Abby to work for the Morrows, Sean can no longer ignore his old demons—or his desire.

It took Abby time to get over Sean Morrow…and then he walked back into her life. And even though she can’t forget the pain, she can’t stop fantasizing about their one erotic encounter…and she still craves his touch. What she feels for Sean is deeper than need. It’s pure, blind lust—and the feeling is mutual…

My Review:

    When I first requested to review this book I didn't realize it was in a set. Ok maybe I did with it's title. Or at least I should have realized. Also I didn't realize that this was the 3rd book in the series. So of course when I got approved to read this book I read it first.

     Now that being said I think these books in The Billionaire's Club can be read as stand alones or you can read them in order. There wasn't much confusion reading them backwards.

     Now onto my review, where should I start? Well let's start with Abigail or Abby as she's called through most of the story. It's obvious that Abby has gotten her life together after everything that has happened to her. Though I do feel as if as much as we all want to put the past in the past. That she really doesn't want to deal with it.

   Sean oh Sean.... I really liked Sean's character and really felt for him. It's obvious that Sean is trying to find out where he belongs in life and within his family. Especially where he belongs with his brothers Jax and Van.

Warning this book does have some steamy sex scenes.

   I would give this book a 4.5 out of 5 stars.

      You can pre-purchase The Billionaire Biker on Amazon and Barnes and Noble . It comes out on April 15th, 2014.

The Billion Dollar Bad Boy (A Billionaire's Club Story) {Book Review}

Title: The Billion Dollar Bad Boy (A Billionaire's Club Story)

Author: Jackie Ashenden

Genre: Romance

 Book Description:

The Billionaire’s Club: a fabulously sexy contemporary series about some of the world’s wealthiest, most powerful men and the women they claim…and keep.

But as soon as she meets Donovan, she is tormented by their mutual desire…and soon she is his to possess. But what is the price of surrendering to the Billion Dollar Bad Boy?

My Review:

    As I said in my other post of this A Billionaire's Club Stories when  I  requested to review this book I didn't realize it was in a set. Ok maybe I did with it's title. Or at least I should have realized. Also I didn't realize that this was the 2nd book in the series. So of course I read this book 2nd, not realizing it was the 2nd book.

     Now that being said I think these books in The Billionaire's Club can be read as stand alones or you can read them in order. There wasn't much confusion reading them backwards.

     Now onto my review, the author Jackie Ashenden didn't waste anytime with Donovan or Van and Victoria getting to know each other. Both Van and Victoria are strong and determined characters trying to both of their families that they belong.

    Donovan is trying to prove to his brother Jax that he belongs in the family business. Honestly I can't stand Jax, Van and Sean's father. He's mentioned in both Van and Sean's stories. Not sure if he's mentioned in Jax's story since I haven't read it yet. But their father obviously put his business before his sons.

     Victoria was a likable character. But like Vans character she is trying to prove that she belongs in the family business. I'm glad in the end she goes with love with Van.

Warning this book does contain steamy sex scenes.

  I give this book 4.5 out of 5 stars. I guess now I need to go read Jax's story.

Kidnapped Cowboy {Book Review}

                                       Disclaimer: I received a free copy of this book from Netgalley for my review. The opinions in this post are 100% of my own. They may differ from others.

Title: Kidnapped Cowboy

Author: Lindsy Brookes

Genre: Romance

Book Description:

After countless attempts to speak with the owner of the retreat for troubled teens she runs on the outskirts of Lone Tree, Montana, Caitlin Myers resorts to kidnapping Brandon ‘The Ogre of Lone Tree’ Barnes in a desperate attempt to change his mind about turning Stoney Brook into a vacation resort for the wealthy.

Retired rodeo star, Dalton Barnes, gets the surprise of his life when he’s abducted by a soft-spoken female with a ‘gun’ and taken to the retreat his family owns. He soon learns she’s kidnapped the wrong cowboy by mistake. She wanted his brother. Things go from bad to worse when a late spring snowstorm strands them together at the cabin. But it’s during their snow-in that Dalton learns why Caitlin has gone to such lengths to save Stoney Brook. Having had issues with his older brother himself and a not so happy past, Dalton promises to do what he can to help her.

When confronted Brandon tells Dalton he’ll hold off on his plans for the retreat, but only if Dalton agrees to stick around and help run it. Keeping his promise to Caitlin, Dalton agrees and what starts out as a common goal to turn the troubled teens’ lives around that summer ends up turning theirs around as well. Can a man who has always avoided putting down roots and a woman with a deep-seated fear of abandonment hang on to the happiness they’ve found together? Or will the past return to threaten their newfound love?

Love, laughter and a heartwarming read…

My Review:

     The last couple of months I've been looking for more books to read. I read so quickly. I at least read 2 or 3 books a day. And most of those books I've already read twice or three times already. But my point is the last couple of months I've been reading a lot of Cowboy romances. I luckily came across Kidnapped Cowboy on Netgalley and thought I would give it a read.

    I have to say Caitlin's character at first came off funny, strong and determined. She is a woman who believes in what Camp Stoney Brook stands for. Caitlin's character obviously has some trust issues. Although I do have to say Caitlin's character kinda dwindles towards the end.

     I really liked Dalton's character from the beginning also. Even though he let a woman kidnap him with a curling iron. He's obviously trying to figure out what he wants in life and prove his brother Brandon wrong, when he agrees to help Caitlin with the camp for troubled teens. And I definitely wouldn't mind kidnapping Dalton for myself.

    This was a good read and would definitely give it 4 out of 5 stars.

My Review:

I was really happy to be to review the Blossom Street Brides by Debbie MaComber. I have read a lot of her books. I enjoy reading romances, I really do. But I don't enjoy cheesy romances where authors make an unlikely situations. I can grauntee you that Debbie MaComber doesn't do that with her books. Mrs. MaComber puts a real touch and feelings to her characters.

I have to admit I read a lot and read quickly if a book catches and keeps my attention.

This book is not just about two main characters. Which a lot of books seem to focus on lately. This book covers three different couples and what their relationships.

I really liked all of a couples and the other characters in this book. Although there were a few, ok well one I didn't like. You'll have to read to find out what I mean. The other one I liked at the end because she saw the truth and realized she was being lead to believe something else.

The characters made me laugh at times and Mrs. MaComber made them feel real.

 I give this book 5 stars out of 5 and would definitely recommend this book.
